Team One kicked the game up to the next level with the Lexus 2017 April Fools' Launch. My team turned the client ask for a social media campaign into a full broadcast spot with a complex digital ecosystem. While most April Fools' Day campaigns live only online, we created one of the first broadcast April Fools' Day spots.
I led my team in pivoting the entire campaign from a social media-only campaign to a limited-run one-day-only broadcast spot with a complementary digital ecosystem. I navigated through various legal concerns of actually being able to run an April Fools' Day joke on television, and also guided my team in finding the ideal broadcast media plan that amplified our campaign.
With my incredible production and creative team, we shot and edited :30 and :45 ads in addition to several social media assets. I organized the team's pre-shoot logistics and managed the post-production of all assets.
Our spot was an incredible success, inspiring an incredible response from a variety of media outlets. Our team was extremely pleased by social media responses that indicated that our ad had fooled them in believe that Lane Valet technology really existed.
My work on this campaign earned me a Black Belt in Creative Art from a Team One Group Creative Director, one of the top recognitions in the agency.
